Miss Finnucan was born and raised in Derby, Connecticut. Upon graduation from high school, she attended Mattatuck Community College where she earned her AA degree in liberal art. While at Mattatuck, she was a member of the basketball and softball teams and was named to the All New England NJCAA teams. Upon graduation, she accepted a full scholarship to the University of Central Florida to play softball where she was named the offensive MVP in 1979. She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Physical Education from UCF in 1979 and began her teaching career at Lawton Elementary school in Oviedo. She joined the staff at Trinity Prep School in 1983 as a PE teacher, volleyball coach, and softball coach. She is an avid sports fan and a very passionate New York Yankees fan.
