Having just played yesterday, New Dimensions will head out on the road to face off against the Freedom Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Four Corners scored an imposing 70 points on Monday, New Dimensions still came out on top. New Dimensions took their contest against Four Corners 77-70. The win made it back-to-back wins for New Dimensions.
New Dimensions got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeriel Martinez out in front who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Blake Ferrante, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, Freedom had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 60-55 win over Nazaret Christian Academy on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
New Dimensions is on a roll lately: they’ve won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Freedom, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.
New Dimensions didn’t have too much breathing room in their matchup against Freedom when the teams last played back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 67-61 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Dimensions since the squad won’t have the home-court advantage this time around. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
New Dimensions High School is accepting applications for bus drivers. Candidates should have a CLD along with their School Bus, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsement. For more information reach out to Mr. Alfers at alfers@newdimensionshs.com

Two dominant guards in Jeriel Martinez and Jordan Isaac are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. New Dimensions will head out on the road to challenge the Poinciana Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Even though New Dimensions has not done well against Liberty recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn’t let the past get in their way on Friday. New Dimensions had just enough and edged Liberty out 66-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
New Dimensions got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Martinez out in front who scored 20 points. Martinez is absolutely dominating the point category: he’s posted at least 15 every time he’s taken the court this season. Blake Ferrante was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, Poinciana stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 72-18 victory over Mater Brighton Lakes Academy. Given Poinciana’s advantage in MaxPreps’ Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Mater Brighton Lakes Academy is ranked 677th), the result wasn’t entirely unexpected.

New Dimensions was taken down by Poinciana 75-35 in their previous matchup back in February of 2021. Can New Dimensions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll find out soon enough.
