A Successful STEAM Night!

Last night we had a wonderful turnout of students and their families who participated in our STEAM night featuring presentations from our science, math and art departments. The students did exceptional work to showcase the topics they are studying in their classes. Mr. Friberg also led a delightful showcase of music provided by both the jazz band and the school band. Their talent is an encouraging message to all students who wish to pursue their passion.

All Osceola Schools Will Be Closed On Wednesday, October 9, Thursday, October 10, and Friday, October 11, For Hurricane Milton
Osceola School District Superintendent Dr. Mark Shanoff is closely monitoring the weather system in the Gulf of Mexico, and, in consultation with emergency management professionals and county leaders, has made the following decision due to the projected impact to our area:

Wednesday, October 9, Thursday, October 10, and Friday, October 11 — All SDOC schools and school district operations will be closed. Employees will not report to work unless deemed essential by supervisor (i.e. Maintenance Department). The decision to remain closed for the remainder of the week comes after looking carefully at the projected path of the storm, which currently includes our communities in Osceola County. When it is safe to do so, the district’s Maintenance team will work on damage assessments once the storm has cleared to ensure our students and staff come back to safe learning environments.

Parents and community residents are encouraged to monitor the district’s social media or website at http://www.osceolaschools.net for any further school district updates.
